How CBM is calculated

How it works

Use this local planning estimate to compare axis-aligned package dimensions and declared quantities. Calculation rules, units, limits, orientations, and rounding remain code-owned.

Formula and units

Formula and decision logic

For each package row, convert dimensions to metres, then calculate length × width × height × quantity. Add every valid row.

Units and rounding

Dimensions accept cm or in. Volume is shown to three decimal places in m³ and two decimal places in ft³; weight is shown to one decimal place.

Assumptions
  • Inputs describe regular rectangular packages and planning dimensions.
How carriers may use volume

Results are not quotations, load plans, safety approvals, or carrier acceptance decisions.
