Formula and decision logic
For each permitted, door-passable axis-aligned carton orientation, calculate counts along internal length, width, and height, then apply the lower of geometric, weight, and supplied-quantity limits.
Units and rounding
Package inputs can use cm/kg or in/lb; container planning dimensions and results are converted to cm/kg. Counts are whole cartons and theoretical volume use is shown to one decimal place.
